Congratulations to Adriana González, Winner of the First and Zarzuela Prizes in Operalia 2019, for his American and Houston Grand Opera debut as Juliet in Gounod’s Romeo and Juliet!

Ms. González is also featured as Artist of the Week by Operawire: “González is making her role debut as Juliette, an opera she has been working on since 2019. Incidentally, it was with an excerpt of this opera that her life changed. In 2019, the soprano competed in the Operalia Competition with “Dieu ! quel frisson court dans mes veines!” and ended up winning first prize. Since then her career has taken off singing at many of the great theaters in the world. Now with Juliette, she will take another step in her career; she will make her U.S. debut which will bring her international career to another level.”
