Anthony Roth Costanzo was featured in the most recent edition of the American television show “60 Minutes“, where he talked about the pandemic’s impact on performing arts: “Let’s reinvent the concert-going ritual. Let’s put it on a pickup truck and take it places, go out of the concert hall, out of the opera house, and create new experiences.”
Recently, Mr. Costanzo joined the New York Philharmonic to create the NY Phil Bandwagon, “a brand-new way to bring performances to local communities across New York: A customized pick-up truck traveled with Musicians of the Orchestra and special guest artists — including series producer Costanzo — to present more than 80 live, outdoor “pull-up” performances across New York City. The repertoire ranged from the Baroque to Broadway, and included several World Premieres commissioned for this initiative.”
